Code of conduct

Version 1.0 — July 2025

Our Goal

QOSI strives to create an inclusive, friendly, and safe community where everyone — regardless of experience, gender, age, ethnicity, language, disability, appearance, sexual orientation, religion, or social status — feels respected and empowered to contribute.

We encourage openness, transparency, and mutual respect in every interaction related to our activities — online, at events, in chats, in code, and beyond.

Expected Behavior

QOSI participants are expected to:

  • Show kindness and respect toward all community members
  • Listen, ask questions, and help others learn and grow
  • Respect different opinions, cultural backgrounds, and communication styles
  • Use inclusive language
  • Provide constructive and relevant feedback
  • Take responsibility for their actions and words

Unacceptable Behavior

We do not tolerate:

  • Insults, humiliation, discrimination, or harassment
  • Trolling, flame wars, or hostile criticism
  • Inappropriate sexual comments or imagery
  • Breaches of confidentiality or disclosure of personal information without consent
  • Abuse of positions of influence or community resources

Scope

This Code applies to all:

  • QOSI online platforms (Telegram, GitHub, Discord, Email, etc.)
  • Events and meetings organized by or connected with QOSI
  • Work processes (issues, pull requests, comments, documents, etc.)

It also applies to participant behavior outside QOSI platforms if it harms the reputation of the community or creates an unsafe environment for others..

Consequences of Violations

Violations of the Code may result in:

  • A warning
  • Temporary restriction of access to chats, events, or projects
  • Removal from the community
  • Notification of relevant organizations in cases of serious incidents

Decisions are made by moderators and project coordinators.
